The Next Step

Three weeks ago the seminal American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454) passed in the Energy and Commerce committee in the House. This is the first bill of it's nature to be in a position to make it through to be made into a law.

This bill may be up for vote on the House floor as soon as the week of the 22nd. The week after next. We need to make sure that it passes and that the International Adaptation Funding remains a part of the bill. Ask Congress to take advantage of this opportunity to stop harming the environment and start helping those already suffering from climate change through greater investment in adaptation.
